Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes what data Trakwyze collects through the mobile apps and our backend, how we use and share it, and your rights. It supports our App Store privacy labels and Google Play data safety disclosures.
1. Who we are
Trakwyze ("Trakwyze," "we," "us") operates the Trakwyze mobile apps (iOS and Android). The trakwyze.com website hosts product information and this policy; it does not offer account sign-up. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the mobile Service and our APIs. It is designed to meet App Store and Google Play requirements and applicable privacy laws.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information collected automatically:
- Account & identity: email address, username/display name, authentication tokens (via Firebase Authentication).
- Profile & fitness data: age, sex/gender (if provided), height, weight, goals, training preferences, injuries or constraints you choose to share.
- Activity logs: workouts, exercises, sets/reps, meals, macros, water, streaks, and progress metrics you enter or sync.
- AI & chat: messages to Coach Kai, generated plans, and feedback used to personalize coaching.
- Device & technical: device type, OS version, app version, language, crash logs, and coarse usage events for reliability and analytics.
- Push notifications: device push token if you enable reminders (you can disable in system settings).
- Purchases: subscription status, product identifiers (e.g. com.trakwyze.app.premium.yearly, com.trakwyze.app.premium.monthly), and transaction metadata from Apple, Google, or RevenueCat — we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and secure your account and logged data.
- Generate personalized workouts, meals, insights, and AI coaching.
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases through app stores.
- Send optional push reminders you opt into.
- Monitor performance, fix bugs, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we process data based on: (a) performance of our contract with you; (b) legitimate interests (e.g. security, product improvement) balanced against your rights; (c) consent where required (e.g. optional marketing or certain notifications); and (d) legal obligations.
5. Sharing & third-party services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the Service:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, and hosting.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlements.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment and subscription processing.
- Vercel & cloud providers — website and API hosting.
- Google (Gemini) — primary AI model for coaching chat, workouts, meals, and tips (Google Privacy Policy).
- Groq, Inc. — fallback AI inference when Gemini is unavailable (Groq Privacy Policy).
- Legal & safety — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
AI data sharing consent: Before Coach Kai or AI workout and meal features send your profile, chat, or activity data to third-party AI services, the app presents an in-app disclosure identifying what data is shared and which recipients receive it. You must agree before any new data is transmitted, as required by Apple App Store guidelines (5.1.1). You may withdraw consent anytime in Settings; AI features will stop sending new data until you agree again.
These processors may process data in the United States or other countries. We require appropriate safeguards where required by law.
6. Tracking & advertising
Trakwyze is not an ad-supported app. We do not use your health or fitness data for third-party advertising. We may use aggregated, de-identified analytics to understand feature usage. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising without consent where required.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, legal, or security purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a commercially reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your choices & rights
- Access & correction: Update profile and logs in-app or contact us.
- Deletion: Delete your account in app settings or email support@trakwyze.com.
- Notifications: Disable push in iOS/Android system settings.
- Subscriptions: Cancel auto-renewal in App Store or Google Play (see Terms §4). Deleting the app does not cancel billing.
- Regional rights: Residents of the EEA, UK, California, and other regions may have additional rights (access, portability, objection, restriction). Contact us to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact support@trakwyze.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and industry-standard practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Report suspected issues to support@trakwyze.com.
11. International transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. We take steps required by applicable law for such transfers.
12. California privacy notice
California residents: we collect the categories described in Section 2 for the purposes in Section 3. We do not sell personal information. You may request access, deletion, or correction as in Section 8. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authority.
13. App Store privacy labels
Apple App Privacy details in App Store Connect are based on this policy. Health and fitness data you log is used to provide app functionality, linked to your identity, and not used for tracking across apps for advertising. Subscription metadata is used for billing and entitlement only.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material updates may be notified in-app or by email where required. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
